Herbs for any season(ing)

My herb garden is about the only thing that is going really well in my very woolly garden. I don’t know if it’s the soil, or the spot – or the fact that I am not the best person at remembering to water it…! During this lovely summer, I don’t know about you, but I’ve been using the Woolly Guide to Wise Watering as my point of reference.

Whatever I am doing (or not) it’s working in my herb patch. I’ve got Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme (as my sister delighted in singing) as well as Mint, Lavender and Borage. This is all very wonderful while the sun is shining and I use my herbs in cooking all the time. But what when the herbs start to sleep or go over once the sun’s gone down?

That’s why I got so excited about this Herb Dryer.

Not only do I get to have my own dried herbs all year round, but we’re giving two lucky Woolly pals the chance too! To be in with a chance of winning check out this week’s competition here.

Armed with my Woolly Green Guide to Drying Herbs off I went to keep up that fantastic seasoning no matter the season.

I really need one of those! I cut my mint down by half this week so that I could dry some leaves for winter storage. At the moment they are drying in the greenhouse but I really want something purpose made to do the job!
