Life cycle of a Leaf
When you thought autumn couldn’t get any better… it turns into winter!
This photo by Rob Herr reminds me that the leaf raking days are coming.
He says it’s been called “Circle of Leaf”, “Life of a Leaf”, “Life Cycle of Leaf”, “Cycle of Life”, and its been stolen all over the internet, blogged, and forwarded, but this is it’s first time on Woolly Green. Isn’t it wonderful?
I hadn’t seen it before, but it’s a reminder that one of the sure fire things in life, is that the leaves turn colour, then guess what? They fall off! And when they fall off they pile up, sometimes getting blown into corners, and when they pile up, they need to be raked.
It’s not my favourite job admittedly, but think of the upsides, the garden will look better, I’ll have an afternoon’s outdoor exercise and the dogs will have a whale of a time (!)
Joining me? You’ll need a good rake, so depending on your garden, there’s a rake out there for you. Have a look at our review to help you pick the best one for you.
And think of all that lovely leaf mould you’re going to make, and the cuppa and a biscuit you get at the end of it
